Nursery care is offered Sunday mornings from 9:15 to 11:00 for children from birth to pre-school.  Ms. Virginia Hervias gives special care to these little ones.  The nursery is open on Wednesday evenings as well.

Class for pre-school (age 4) through second grade children meets in the middle room of Harrison Hall from 9:30-11:00 AM on Sunday mornings.  The Young Children and Worship curriculum is used which presents a story from the Bible with the aid of wooden or laminated paper figures representing the characters of the story.  The children are invited to respond to the story by using various art media. The Bible story is again presented by the actual reading of the story from God's word.  A "feast" of juice and light snack are offered.  At 11:00 the children are escorted to church to be with their family for the remainder of the service.  Teachers for this class include Denita McClendon, Howard Blanchard, Diane Robillard, and Doris O'Neill.

The third, fourth, and fifth grades meet from 9:30 to 10:20 AM in the classroom at the parking lot end of Harrison Hall.  This class is using the All Things New curriculum which is similar in format to the younger class.  The class members are currently working on making their own scroll on which they record the Bible memory verse from their lesson.  They also use an interactive form of the Book of Common Prayer, games, and activities related to their lesson.  Lauren Francisco, Sara Haddow, and Sherry Welch are the teachers of this class.

Every child is special to God and we strive to provide a welcoming and safe place where each child can experience and grow in His love for them.

Bible 101 in the Courtyard

“When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me” (1 Corinthians, 13:11)

In a complicated, frustrating world, what we learned in Sunday School as a child just doesn’t cut it. As adults, we need something better, something deeper, something richer. For information on our Adult Christian formation program, contact Liz Peacock
